“Devil get behind me, run on home, back to the grave where you belong… You’re stuck under my blood-bought boots!”
1. Recognize the Voice of the Enemy
Lyrics: “When fear like a viper strikes… I know that ain’t my Father’s voice.”
Scripture: John 10:27 – “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
- God’s voice brings peace and conviction that leads to life.
- The devil’s voice brings fear, lies, and condemnation.
- Challenge: Whose voice are you listening to?
2. Call Him Out in the Name of the Lord
Lyrics: “I’m calling him out in the name of the Lord.”
Scripture: Luke 10:19 – “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
- Authority doesn’t come from you, it comes from Jesus.
- Just like a police officer’s badge, the power is in the authority behind you, not in yourself.
- Speak with authority: “Devil, get behind me in Jesus’ name!”
3. Stand on the Finished Work of the Cross
Lyrics: “You’re stuck under my blood-bought boots.”
Scripture: Revelation 12:11 – “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.”
- The devil is already defeated. The cross sealed his fate.
- Victory = the blood of Jesus + your testimony.
- Application: Speak the truth out loud—“Devil, you’ve got no hold on me.”
4. Live Changed by the Holy Ghost
Lyrics: “I’ve been changed by the Holy Ghost.”
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
- You are not who you used to be. Your past does not define you.
- The devil tries to drag you back into an identity that’s already dead.
- Walk free on the inside—even if you’re still behind bars.
5. Fight from Power, Not for Power
Lyrics: “The same power that raised my Savior is the power that lives in me.”
Scripture: Romans 8:11 – “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”
- You’re not fighting to get victory—you’re fighting from victory already won.
- God’s Spirit lives in you. You’re not empty.
- Encourage: Temptation doesn’t get the last word—Jesus does.
6. You’re Not Alone – Angel Army Backing You Up
Lyrics: “He’s got an angel army!”
Scripture: 2 Kings 6:16–17 – “He said, ‘Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ Then Elisha prayed and said, ‘O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.’ So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
- You are never alone. God’s protection surrounds you even when you can’t see it.
- Pray for eyes to be opened so you see His power, not just your problem.
7. Declare Victory Out Loud
Lyrics: “Get behind me! Devil get behind me! In the name of the Lord!”
Scripture: Matthew 16:23 – “But he turned and said to Peter, ‘Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.’”
- Jesus spoke out loud to silence the enemy. So should you.
- Silent believers are easy targets—declare the truth with your mouth.
- Exercise: Together say, “Devil, get behind me in the name of the Lord!”
Closing Challenge
- 1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
- Romans 10:9 – “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
- Acts 3:19 – “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”
Questions to Consider:
- Aren’t you tired of the game?
- Aren’t you tired of disappointing your family and friends?
- Aren’t you tired of the struggle?
- Aren’t you tired of being the devil’s pawn?
It’s time to recognize your Creator. It’s time to submit to Jesus Christ. It’s time to confess, repent, and be made new.
