Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” It’s a picture of friction, pressure, and sparks—yet it’s the only way iron becomes sharp. God designed us the same way. We aren’t meant to live the Christian life in isolation. Growth happens when we come together, challenge one another, and encourage one another in the faith.
At Northern Light Church, we’ve created Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s & Women’s Groups with this truth in mind. These groups aren’t just another item on a busy schedule—they’re intentional spaces where men and women can build each other up, wrestle with real-life struggles, and walk in the light of God’s Word together.
Why We Gather
Accountability.
Every believer needs people around them who will ask the hard questions and speak the truth in love. Left on our own, we can drift, compromise, or get stuck in patterns we don’t even see. In community, blind spots are revealed and burdens are shared.Encouragement.
Hebrews 10:24–25 urges us to “consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together… but encouraging one another.” Life can be discouraging and faith can feel weary, but encouragement multiplies when believers come together.Growth.
When we open God’s Word together, share testimonies, and pray for one another, something powerful happens—our faith matures. We begin to see how God is working not just in our own story but in the lives of those around us.
What to Expect
Women’s Group: Tuesdays at 7:00 PM
Men’s Group: Thursdays at 6:00 PM
Each week includes time in Scripture, open discussion, and prayer. These groups are not about putting on a mask but about being real, honest, and ready to grow sharper together.
