As a new school year begins, many of our young adults are heading off to college, some for the very first time, while others are returning to continue their studies. At the same time, our children and teens will be back in classrooms next week, facing the challenges and opportunities of another year of learning. We want to keep them all covered in prayer—asking God to protect their hearts, strengthen their faith, and give them courage to be a light wherever they go.

Let’s also remember the teachers, administrators, and staff who serve in our schools. They carry the responsibility of shaping minds, guiding students, and often providing encouragement beyond academics. May God grant them wisdom, patience, and endurance, and may His presence be felt in every classroom.

Heavenly Father,
We bring before You our young people and all those returning to school. For the college students stepping into a new chapter, give them wisdom to make godly choices, strength to resist temptation, and courage to stand firm in their faith. For the children and teens returning to their classes, give them focus to learn, kindness to show others, and joy in discovering the gifts You have given them.

Lord, we also lift up the teachers, staff, and administrators. Bless them with patience in their calling, clarity in their teaching, and compassion for every student they encounter. Protect their health, guard their minds, and remind them that their work is not in vain.

Surround every school, from the youngest classrooms to the largest universities, with Your presence. May these halls not just be places of learning, but places where Your light can shine through the lives of Your people. We trust this school year into Your hands, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
