Update:
Church family, please keep Jim Finlayson in your prayers this morning. I just learned that he has to undergo emergency surgery. Jim is a beloved part of our church, and while this news is heavy on our hearts, we know that nothing takes God by surprise.
Let’s stand together in faith, trusting that the same God who holds the universe in His hands is holding Jim right now. Whether through healing, peace, or strength — we know God’s will is perfect, and His presence never leaves His children.
Father, we come before You with heavy yet trusting hearts. You are the Great Physician, the giver and sustainer of life. We lift Jim into Your care right now and ask that You guide every doctor, nurse, and hand involved in his surgery. Surround him with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let Your presence fill that room. Give strength to his body, calm to his spirit, and faith to all who love him. We trust You completely, Lord — in every outcome, in every breath, in every moment. Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Let’s keep our brother Jim Finlayson in prayer. We were a bit concerned when he wasn’t with us Sunday, but he called to let me know he’s been downstate taking care of a medical issue. He’s doing well and expects to be back with us this coming Sunday. He said God bless to everyone. Let’s continue to lift him up for strength, healing, and safe travels.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for watching over Jim and keeping him in Your care. We pray for continued healing, renewed strength, and peace in his body and mind. Bless him with safe travels as he returns home and let him feel the love of his church family surrounding him. We thank You for his faith and presence among us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
