Ephesians 5:15–16 | James 4:1

Main Truth:

Time is short. Life is fragile. Eternity is certain.
You don’t get to control how much time you have—but you do get to choose what you do with it.
God commands you to redeem it.

I. The Clock Doesn’t Pause for Anyone

James 4:14 – “What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”
– Life feels long, but God says it’s a vapor.
– You don’t get time back—so don’t waste it drifting.

II. God Commands Us to Redeem the Time

Ephesians 5:15–16 – “Look carefully then how you walk… making the best use of the time…”
– Redeeming time means living with purpose, not just staying busy.
– The world will steal your time with distraction unless you fight to use it for eternity.

III. Delayed Obedience Is Still Disobedience

James 4:17 – “Whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”
– “Later” is not a plan—it’s a lie.
– Obedience delayed is obedience denied.

IV. You Can’t Rewind the Year—But You Can Redeem What’s Next

Joel 2:25 – “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…”
– God doesn’t just forgive your sin—He can redeem your time.
– Regret looks backward. Repentance moves forward.

V. Look Back with Honesty—Step Forward with Purpose

Lamentations 3:22–23 – “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases… his mercies are new every morning.”
– This isn’t about resolutions.
– It’s about surrendering your future because of what God has shown you about your past.

VI. Time Is Short—Eternity Is Long

Hebrews 9:27 – “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.”
– Death is certain. Judgment is real.
– You don’t need more time—you need to be born again.

Final Reminder:

You can’t change 2025.
But you can surrender 2026.
Do it now—tomorrow is not promised.
