Sunday School isn’t about keeping kids busy while adults worship—it’s about discipling young hearts, planting the truth of God’s Word, and shaping lives for eternity.
To ensure that every teacher is well-prepared and spiritually grounded, we’ve created this Sunday School Teacher Training Course. Whether you’re stepping into this role for the first time or returning with years of experience, these modules are designed to deepen your understanding of what it means to lead, teach, and disciple children with both excellence and love.
Each training module includes a short video followed by a few questions to complete. These are not tests of your ability, but opportunities to reflect and ensure you’re grasping the biblical and practical foundations of this vital ministry.
All candidates for this ministry will be subject to a basic background check, as we remain committed to providing a safe, secure, and spiritually sound environment for every child entrusted to our care.

Module 1: The Vital Role of a Sunday School Teacher
This video introduces the foundational importance of Sunday School ministry. Far beyond babysitting, this role is a spiritual calling with eternal impact. Learn why guiding children in God’s truth is one of the most critical assignments in the church.
Module 2: The Authority of Scripture
This session focuses on the Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God. You’ll explore what it means for Scripture to be God-breathed and trustworthy, and why every lesson taught in Sunday School must be firmly rooted in God’s Word.
Module 3: The Nature of God
In this module, we take a closer look at the doctrine of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Learn how to present this essential truth in an understandable way and teach children who God is and how He works in their lives.
Module 4: The Work of Christ
Explore the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the heart of our faith. This lesson helps teachers clearly present the Gospel message and the dual nature of Christ—fully God and fully man—while pointing children to Jesus as Savior and Lord.
Module 5: The Role of the Holy Spirit
This video teaches about the presence and work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. Discover how to communicate His role to children in a way that’s simple, accurate, and deeply meaningful.
Module 6: Sin and Salvation
Here we unpack the biblical truths about human nature, sin, and God’s plan for redemption through Jesus Christ. Learn how to clearly communicate the Gospel and help children understand grace, faith, and the need for a Savior.
Module 7: Eternal Realities
Heaven and Hell are real, eternal destinations. This module equips teachers to present these weighty truths in a loving, age-appropriate way that encourages children to trust in Christ for eternal life.
Module 8: The Church as a Community
This session explores what it means to be part of the body of Christ. You’ll learn how to teach children the importance of belonging, serving, and growing within the Church as an active, living community.
Module 9: Prayer
This module emphasizes the power and purpose of prayer as a key part of a child’s relationship with God. Learn how to teach prayer not as a routine, but as a real and meaningful way to talk to and hear from God.
Module 10: Closing Remarks
The final session is a heartfelt reminder of the sacred privilege of teaching children God’s Word. You’ll be encouraged in your calling and equipped to continue faithfully in this important ministry.
