Join Northern Light Church, the Michigan State Police, and MDHHS for a fun, free afternoon focused on bicycle safety, confidence, and community.
Children will move through a hands-on bike safety course where they will practice important riding skills, including:
- Proper hand signals for turning and stopping
- Safely crossing traffic
- Braking and stopping ability
- Maneuvering and weaving through cones
There will also be free bicycle checkups, safety instruction, hot dogs, chips, and plenty of encouragement along the way.

What to Bring
Please bring:
- A bicycle in safe riding condition
- A parent or legal guardian
- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
Registration
Complete the form below to pre-register your child. A separate registration form should be submitted for each participating child.
Participation is free, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged so we can prepare enough course materials, food, and supplies.
