I came across this video of Pastor Roger Green sharing how he was called to the pulpit. It made me reflect on my past interactions with him.

I knew Roger from a business perspective back when he used to advertise in my newspaper for the church, and we’d chat occasionally at the Hen House. He always carried himself with sincerity and humility, and it’s clear that Lake St. Helen Baptist Church (now Northern Light Church) thrived under his leadership. He is missed at the pulpit, no doubt.

Roger stepped down from ministry due to health reasons and continues to face ongoing health challenges. I felt compelled to share this and invite others to join me in lifting him and his family in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we lift up Pastor Roger to You today. Bring healing to his body, strength to his spirit, and peace to his heart. Surround his wife Fran with comfort, patience, and encouragement as she walks alongside him. Bless their entire family with unity, hope, and the assurance of Your nearness. May they feel the love and appreciation of all those whose lives they’ve touched, and may Your presence be their anchor through every trial. In Jesus’ name, amen.
