Our hearts are heavy today as we grieve with the community of Grand Blanc, Michigan, where violence struck during worship at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Reports confirm that lives have been lost, many are injured, and families are shattered. In moments like this, we are reminded of the brokenness of our world and the desperate need for God’s peace, protection, and healing. As the body of Christ, we are called to lift up those who are suffering and to stand firm in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with broken hearts for the victims, families, and community affected by the attack in Grand Blanc. We ask for Your comfort to surround those who mourn, for Your healing hand to touch the injured, and for Your peace to cover all who are shaken. Strengthen the first responders, medical teams, and pastors as they serve in the aftermath. Lord, remind us that even in darkness, You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Turn hearts to You, bring light where evil sought to destroy, and let Your name be glorified as hope rises from tragedy. In Jesus’ name, Amen
