Opening
- A confused world needs biblical men. Biblical manhood is not tyranny, not passivity — it is responsibility under God.
1. God Created Man with Responsibility
- Before sin, before a wife, before children — Adam had a job: work it and keep it. Manhood is measured by faithfulness, not image.
Genesis 2:15
2. God Gave Man a Voice Before Sin Entered
- Naming the animals = order, discernment, responsibility. The failure of silence in the home; the call to act like men, in love.
Genesis 2:19–20; 1 Corinthians 16:13–14; Joshua 24:15
3. Sin Entered the Home While Adam Stood Passive
- “He was with her.” Passivity before sin, blame after sin. The question is still: “Where are you?”
Genesis 3:6, 9, 12
4. The Home Suffers When Men Do Not Lead
- Physical presence ′ spiritual presence. Lead by going first — in prayer, repentance, forgiveness, Scripture, service.
Joshua 24:15
5. The Church Suffers When Men Stay Immature
- Self-controlled, models of good works. Weak homes produce weak churches produce weak witness.
Titus 2:6–8; 1 Timothy 3:4–5
6. Society Suffers When Men Abandon Responsibility
- Righteousness exalts a nation. Men carry a burden; when refused, everyone feels the weight.
Proverbs 14:34; Micah 6:8; Matthew 5:13–16
7. Christ Is the Perfect Man Men Must Follow
- Not worldly, angry, lazy, harsh, or passive masculinity — Christ. Crucify sin, don’t manage it.
Ephesians 5:25–27; Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:6; Luke 9:23
8. The Gospel Call: Men Cannot Fix Themselves
- Discipline can’t save a man. Christ saves and transforms. New creation, not self-improvement.
John 15:5; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 10:9–13
Closing
- Men, where are you? Not called to swagger — called to surrender. Stand where God put you.
Key Line: “The problem is not that men have too much godly authority. The problem is that too many men have abandoned godly responsibility.”
